ODM Leadership

Our History

Explore the journey and key milestones of the Orange Democratic Movement since its founding.

The Birth of a Movement

The Orange Democratic Movement emerged from the constitutional referendum of 2005, where the symbol of an orange represented opposition to the proposed constitution. What began as a coalition of like-minded political leaders evolved into one of Kenya's most significant political parties.

Since its official registration in 2006, ODM has been at the forefront of Kenya's democratic journey, championing reforms, good governance, and inclusive development across the nation.
